Professional Background
Karl was very keen on a versatile education and he used the educational opportunities he found in Germany to acquire a broad education: he is a civil engineer and a PhD in philosophy – a career that is not possible in most countries.
One after another, he started his career as an office manager at the German Post Office, afterwards he was a co-owner in a handicraft business, and then he studied civil engineering, became a vocational school teacher and alongside this activity Karl studied philosophy up to his doctorate.
Because of this he was always in great demand for projects abroad, he was able to lead a construction project in Thailand for some years or the dual education in Moldova, as he did during his many assignments abroad, where he mostly led educational projects based on the German dual education system.
Vision
As an expert on dual education, Karl understands its benefits better than anyone else. During his work experience in Moldova, he identified the gaps in the Moldovan education system and is convinced that dual education will help the country make a step forward.
Role at the MIT-Center
As a member of the MIT-Center, Dr. Weinhuber would like to promote and facilitate the implementation of dual education in Moldova also at the university level by offering advice and feedback based on his experience.
